Homework

Children are expected to read every day to an adult and a comment/signature is needed in their reading record at least five times per week.  Reading records are to be handed in every day.

Homework will include; weekly spellings to be tested on a Thursday and a maths activity linked to the children's work during the week.

Swimming

Swimming days for each class are:

Class 9 (Mrs Atherton) - Thursday morning (Autumn 1, Spring 1, Summer 1)

Class 10 (Mrs Allinson) - Thursday morning (Autumn 2, Spring 2, Summer 2)

Please make sure your child has their swimming costume/trunks (no baggy shorts), cap and towel. Children must ensure that their earrings are removed prior to swimming.

P.E

Children will have a one hour P.E lesson every week. For Class 9 and Class 10 this is on a Thursday morning. Children will learn various skills and take part in dances, gymnastic routines and games. They need black P.E shorts, a red t-shirt and black plimsolls. Children must ensure that their earrings are removed and long hair tied back prior to P.E.

At the end of the year we have a sports day in which the whole school takes part. Everyone gets very excited and nervous but we have lots of fun.
